Alcazar

A palace for the king right next to the Cathedral. Mainly built during the 1300s the majority of it is built in a stunning oriental style, even though the most of it was built for a christian king. But beeing built during several ages there is also a big gothic part left.

A huge square and building built for the "Exposicion Ibero Americana" in 1929 that was supposed to strengthen the trade between Spain and the US. But sadly almost no one came due to the financial crisis hitting hard exactly in 1929.

Metropol Parasol - probably the biggest wooden building in the world

Finished in 2013 this wooden building at the place of a former car park is now home to a market, a restaurant, a concert hall and the best it offers you a perfect view over the town of Sevilla from its roof. It's also said to be the biggest wooden building in the world.

The nuclear missile base in the middle of a Lithuanian forest

On our way from Klaipeda to Riga we passed by the Zemaitija National park with its main village/ small town Plateliai. This gave us the opportunity to visit an old Soviet nuclear missile base in the middle of the National park, that now a days serves as a cold war museum.

Good food and fine beer in Kalipeda

After a long day discovering the Curonian Spit we searched for a nice dinner place. With the guidance of Foursquare we found a little stylish place, called the MOMA grill. Where we probably had the best meals on the whole trip.
